Update on the Sharks 2020 Season

    Dear Sharks,

As you can imagine, the board has been busy working these past several weeks to find a creative solution to save the 2020 season. Sadly, we have had to acknowledge that to comply with state, city, and neighborhood mandates and to keep our neighbors safe, the Sharks will not swim this summer. Last night, with heavy hearts, the board voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 Sharks season.

We understand how disappointing this is for all of you. Like so many of you, we look forward to Sharks all year. We are especially sorry for the nine seniors (many of whom have been Sharks for 10+ years) who are losing their final chance to swim for the team they’ve loved for so long. We are still holding out hope that restrictions will be lifted so we can hold a party at the end of the summer to celebrate all of our Sharks.

If you already registered, you will receive a refund for dues and/or gear within a couple of days. The refund will go to the PayPal account you used when you registered. If you have questions about refunds, contact Sharks Treasurer, Pat Gibbons. If you have other questions, reply to this email or contact Michelle Crosby (Sharks board president) or Jenny Leeds (Sharks communications director)

While we will all miss our Sharks friends, Coach Paul, The Shark Shack, Champs, and so much more, we know that our indomitable Sharks spirit will carry us through until we can swim together next year. In the meantime, click HERE to send in a swim memory to share on the Sharks webpage, then visit the page to relive some of our favorite Sharks moments. And, when you’re out in the neighborhood and see someone in a Sharks shirt, be sure to greet them with an enthusiastic “Go Sharks!”
