Hello Travis Country Sharks! I am Coach Rachel, a long-time member of the TC community. This season will be my 25th year with the Sharks: my 12th year coaching. I was born and raised here in Austin Texas. My passion for swimming began through this summer league program at the age of 6, and continued every year until I could not compete! During this time I also spent four years with Longhorn Aquatics age group swimming, while also competing for Austin High. More recently I have been an on and off master’s swimmer with Austin Swim Club. When I am not coaching the sharks I am a high school math teacher here in AISD.
Summer league swimming is about learning the foundations and mechanics of the sport of swimming; improving strokes and personal times; and having fun in a supportive community unlike any other! Please reach out with any questions you may have. I am looking forward to a fun-filled summer! - Coach Rachel
Hi Sharks! My name is Kyla Foxhoven, and I’m so excited to be coaching this summer! I was born and raised here in Austin and have 13 years of competitive experience, having swum for ASC, Westlake, and Trinity University. I’m currently a student at the University of Texas majoring in Nutrition. I have a huge passion for working with kids and helping them find their confidence and speed in the water! When I’m not working, I’m usually doing my nails or diving into a creative project. I can’t wait to get to know all of you and have an amazing season. Go Sharks!
Hello! My name is Lacey Dominguez and I am currently a freshman at NC State University studying Environmental Engineering. Go Pack! I have been a Shark since I was 5 years old and am now an assistant coach. I also worked at the Southwest YMCA as a swim instructor and lifeguard and now work at the gym at my school. Some quick facts about myself are that I love ice cream, Wicked, being outside, working out, and, most of all, swimming! I am beyond hype for this year's season and let's go Sharks!!
Hi! My name is Mia Corbin, this is my 13th year as a TC Sharks swimmer and my 2nd year as an assistant coach! I am a senior at Austin High, where I am captain of the swim team. I’m also a swimmer at Austin Swim Club in the Nationals Group. Sharks has played a huge role in helping me pursue my passion for swimming and given me lifelong memories that I’ll forever cherish, from the friendships I’ve built to the unforgettable moments at meets and practices. Outside of school, I'm a head lifeguard for the neighborhood as well as a camp counselor for ages 3-9. I love being active, spending time with family/friends, and being around my dogs. I’m beyond excited for this season! I can’t wait to share my love for swimming, help others grow, and create new memories with the team.
